Meet Dr. Hussain

A Physician who Listens Deeply, Thinks Critically, and Cares for the Whole Person.

I started my career as an Internist in academic medicine — but felt frustrated watching motivated patients get pushed into medications,  quick fixes and strings of referrals because no one could figure out  what was truly wrong.  I knew they deserved more time, more curiosity, and more thoughtful investigation.

After stepping away to raise my children, I realized the system had pulled me away from what I always wanted to do: help people truly understand their bodies and heal at the root.

I embarked on a journey to retrain in Integrative Medicine, Functional Medicine, Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Nutrition, and mind-body therapies — opening the door to a more comprehensive, evidence-informed way of practicing medicine.

Now, I help patients who:
• know something is wrong even when their labs are “normal”
• want to reverse or manage chronic conditions better
• want to stay well long-term and invest in their health
• want someone who sees all sides: conventional + integrative

You are the hero of your own healing journey, and I’m here to guide you with clarity, compassion, and science.

Philosophy of Care

At Innate Health, care begins with attention — to your story, your symptoms, and the subtle patterns that often go unrecognized.

I approach medicine with both scientific rigor and a broader clinical lens, integrating internal medicine with functional and integrative approaches to understand not just what is happening, but why.

This work requires time, curiosity, and partnership. Together, we develop a clear and personalized strategy that supports your health in a deeper, more sustainable way.

Dr. Hussain is passionate about her patients' health in a way that is rare. She listens carefully, asks thoughtful questions, and brings genuine curiosity to every conversation. I attribute my improved health over the past three years to her knowledge and care. She is a true advocate for your wellbeing — not just your symptoms."
